Der 34-jährige in Berlin lebende Pianist Mark Taratushkin wird von den Kritikern als herausragender Virtuose gefeiert, dessen Liebe zum Detail sowie die Intensität und technische Brillanz seines Spielens das Publikum weltweit faszinieren. Sein Repertoire konzentriert sich auf die Klavierwerke des 20. Jahrhunderts und die Musik der deutschen Romantik und umfasst einige der schwierigsten Werke der Klavierliteratur, wie die Etüden von Béla Bartók, die Klavierkonzerte von Sergei Prokofjew oder die Paganini-Variationen von Johannes Brahms.
Ausgebildet am renommierten Moskauer Tschaikowsky-Konservatorium (Natalia Trull) und an der Universität der Künste in Berlin (Klaus Hellwig), ist Mark Taratushkin ein gerngesehener Gast bei diversen Musikfestivals, darunter die Berliner Festspiele, das Santander Musikfestival, der Steirische Herbst und das "Spielart" Festival in München.
Das Konzert von Mark Taratushkin am 4. Mai 2024 präsentiert Werke, die nicht nur die technische und emotionale Bandbreite des Klaviers zeigen, sondern auch tief in die Geschichten und Kontexte eintauchen, die diese Musik umgeben.
Eröffnet wird das Programm mit Beethovens "Les Adieux" Sonate, einem Werk, das die Turbulenzen und emotionalen Schwankungen der Napoleonischen Ära widerspiegelt. Schuberts "Erlkönig", meisterhaft bearbeitet von Liszt, ist mehr als nur ein technisches Meisterstück. Es ist eine dramatische Erzählung, die das Publikum in die dunklen Wälder der deutschen Romantik entführt, wo das Schicksal eines Kindes in einem rasanten, fast atemlosen musikalischen Ritt entschieden wird.
In Edvard Griegs "Suite aus Holbergs Zeit" entführt Mark Taratushkin das Publikum in eine musikalische Zeitreise, die die Eleganz und den Geist des Barockzeitalters einfängt. Dieses Stück, eine Hommage an den Barockstil zu Ehren des dänisch-norwegischen Schriftstellers Ludvig Holberg, zeigt Griegs Talent, historische Musikstile mit seiner eigenen romantischen Ausdrucksweise zu verschmelzen. In der zweiten Hälfte des Programms öffnet Schuberts Sonate in A-Dur, D. 664, ein Fenster in eine Welt der Ruhe und des Friedens. Dieses Werk, oft als ein Höhepunkt lyrischer Schönheit beschrieben, strahlt eine seltene Klarheit und Reinheit aus.
Brahms' Intermezzo in A-Dur, Op. 118, Nr. 2, ist ein intimes Stück, das in seiner ruhigen Reflexion eine tiefe emotionale Reise unternimmt. Es ist, als würde Brahms einen vertraulichen Dialog mit dem Zuhörer führen, voller Wärme und introspektiver Einsichten.
Das Programm endet mit Brahms' Variationen über ein Thema von Paganini, ein wahres Fest der pianistischen Virtuosität. His repertoire focuses on piano works from the 20th century and German Romantic music, including some of the most challenging pieces in the piano literature, such as the études of Béla Bartók, the piano concertos of Sergei Prokofiev, and the Paganini Variations by Johannes Brahms.
Trained at the prestigious Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory (Natalia Trull) and the University of the Arts in Berlin (Klaus Hellwig), Mark Taratushkin is a frequent guest at various music festivals, including the Berliner Festspiele, the Santander Music Festival, the Steirischer Herbst, and the "Spielart" Festival in Munich.
Mark Taratushkin's concert on May 4th, 2024, presents works that not only showcase the technical and emotional range of the piano but also delve deeply into the stories and contexts surrounding this music.
The program opens with Beethoven's "Les Adieux" Sonata, a work reflecting the turbulence and emotional swings of the Napoleonic era. It is a musical diary in which Beethoven captures the farewell, the longing, and the joyful reunion with his friend and patron Archduke Rudolf in three movements.
Schubert's "Erlkönig", masterfully transcribed by Liszt, is more than just a technical masterpiece. It is a dramatic narrative that transports the audience into the dark forests of German Romanticism, where the fate of a child is decided in a breathless, fast-paced musical ride.
In Edvard Grieg's "Suite from Holberg's Time", Mark Taratushkin takes the audience on a musical journey back in time, capturing the elegance and spirit of the Baroque era. This piece, a homage to the Baroque style in honor of the Danish-Norwegian writer Ludvig Holberg, showcases Grieg's talent for blending historical music styles with his own romantic expression. The Aria, with its lyrical and emotional melody, acts like a calm, contemplative conversation. The Sarabande, a traditional Baroque dance, impresses with its dignity and depth, while the Gavotte with its liveliness and rhythmic precision creates a cheerful and almost dance-like atmosphere.
With Chopin's Ballade No. 1, we enter a world full of poetic narratives and musical innovations. This piece is like an epic poem, combining a wealth of emotions and images in a composition that is as vulnerable as it is powerful.
In the second half of the program, Schubert's Sonata in A Major, D. 664, opens a window to a world of tranquility and peace. This work, often described as a pinnacle of lyrical beauty, radiates a rare clarity and purity.
Brahms' Intermezzo in A Major, Op. 118, No. 2, is an intimate piece that undertakes a deep emotional journey in its serene reflection. It is as if Brahms is engaging in a confidential dialogue with the listener, filled with warmth and introspective insights.
The program concludes with Brahms' Variations on a Theme by Paganini, a true feast of pianistic virtuosity. These variations are not just a display of technical brilliance but also a playground for Brahms' compositional creativity, transforming the theme into numerous, fascinating musical landscapes.
